SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — November 4, 2026. The city’s contested Council District 3 race shows Buenaflor “Flor” Nicolas with 961 votes (51.47%) in the county’s semi-official count. Melanie Olson has 671 (35.94%), and Sophia Cyris has 235 (12.59%).
The other council districts
In Council District 1, Aysha Dominguez Pamukcu is the only printed candidate, with 1,814 votes. District 5 similarly lists Eddie Flores as the sole candidate, with 1,267. These totals relate to separate district ballots, not a single citywide council contest.
City clerk and treasurer
The county also reports Rosa Govea Acosta with 8,936 votes as the only printed candidate for City Clerk, and Frank Risso with 8,949 as the only candidate for City Treasurer. Their countywide city-office vote totals should not be compared with single council districts as a measure of electoral popularity.
The reports remain unofficial while eligible ballots are counted. Residents may follow the county registrar for updates and final certification.
Data: San Mateo County’s semi-official final election-night tally from November 4, 2026. The county says mail ballots received after October 30 and conditional or provisional ballots are not yet included. The next release is expected before 4:30 p.m. November 5, with certification scheduled for December 3. The reported leaders are not certified winners.
